About Agape
Agape Christian Counseling Services is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to improve the accessibility of mental health services by providing affordable, professional Christian counseling for the St. Louis metro area and its surrounding counties.
What does “Agape” mean?
In Scripture, the term agape refers to the unconditional and voluntary love of God for us and our call to love one another.
Holistic care
We at Agape Christian Counseling Services view our services as a ministry for those who are hurting emotionally. Our comprehensive treatment addresses the spiritual, emotional, and physical effects an issue has upon a person. We provide customized treatment based upon individual needs while also respecting religious and personal values. The client determines when, how, and if biblical principles enter into therapy.
Fees
It is our belief and passion that every person deserves quality counseling, regardless of their financial resources or insurance coverage. As a result, we operate on a sliding fee scale. Most insurance plans are accepted.
Specialized Training
Counselors at Agape Christian Counseling Services seek to provide the best possible care for our clients, and thus are active in pursuing additional specialized education and credentialing. Although specializations vary, our counselors are trained and certified in such areas as Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, suicide and crisis, reactive attachment disorder, sexual dysfunction, and substance abuse.
