Myung Jin Kim, MA, PLPC

Myung Jin earned an MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, and she is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri.  Prior to entering the counseling field, Myung Jin had 18 years of experience in faith-based counseling as a pastor’s wife.  Her unique life experiences of pain, grief, crisis, and health problems help her genuinely identify with people’s pain through empathetic understanding.  Her mission is to provide people with the opportunity to access the healing grace of God through a psycho-therapeutic encounter, which is guided by sound biblical insight and wisdom from the Holy Spirit, the true counselor.

Myung Jin is interested in and experienced with issues of depression, interpersonal communication, parenting, perfectionism, marital difficulties, domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and verbal), anxiety, crisis, grief, and spiritual problems.  Myung Jin is familiar with the implications and potential setbacks such disorders can cause.  She approaches clients’ personal issues in a way that integrates both the psychological and theological understandings of human brokenness, counseling in a manner consistent with scriptural values from the context of biblical truth and faith in Christ.
